WHERE WE'RE GOING
From 1991 to July 2005, Deadwood Magazine was a bimonthly publication with a circulation of about 5,000 copies. Half of its 24 pages were printed full-color, while the other half was black and white.
Beginning with the September 2005 issue, Deadwood Magazine switched to a monthly format and doubled its circulation to 10,000 copies - a jump from approximately 25,000 to 120,000 copies annually (a 480% increase). For the moment, the publication is still 24 pages, although it is now printed entirely in full color.
Deadwood Magazine will continue to publish its most popular department, Girls of the Gulch, along with several new additions. Rabble Rousers will take an in-depth look at the quirky characters and dynamic personalities making waves in Deadwood, while Trailblazing will profile some of the best outdoor experiences in the Black Hills. The magazine will continue to publish timely features, reviews and events calendars.
